How To Use Hydrogen Peroxide To Eliminate Drain Odors
By KATE CUSSON
To eliminate drain odors using hydrogen peroxide, start by turning on your tap and letting the water run until it gets hot, ensuring that the drain and pipes are
fully saturated.
Then, pour a cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide down the drain, and allow it to sit for at least 15 minutes so that it can break down any organic matter and bacteria causing the odor.
Once the time is up, flush the drain with cold water to clear away any residue. If necessary, you can repeat these steps to make sure the odor is completely gone.
While hydrogen peroxide is generally safe to use, cover your hands and skin to avoid irritation, and never mix it with other chemicals unless you're certain it's safe to do so.
