How To Use Plastic Wrap To Keep Your Paint Roller From Drying Out
By KYLE SCHURMAN
If you have to stop painting suddenly, you may not have time to clean the roller and tray for future use. Luckily, you can simply cover it in plastic wrap
and use it the next day.
Although it isn't necessary, it is easier to wrap the roller if the handle is removed. Make sure the roller is wet before wrapping and that you cover the roller's entire nap.
You can use painter's tape to secure the plastic, but plastic wrap sticks to itself, so it might not be needed. Once wrapped, store it in a cool place.
This should allow you to reuse the roller for up to a week, but for the best results, restart the project within 24 hours. Anything longer and the roller will be hard and sticky.
