How WD-40 Can Keep Squirrels Away From Your
Bird Feeder
By MARCO ROSSI
Bird feeders are a great way to attract birds to your yard, but they can also attract squirrels, which scare the birds away. Fortunately, WD-40 can be used to deter squirrels.
For a bird feeder attached to a pole, liberally spray WD-40 down its length. When the squirrel tries to leap on it, it will slide back down to the grass as it is unable to hold.
If your feeder is hanging from a chain, lubricate the chain with WD-40. Be careful not to spray too close to the feeder so as not to contaminate the food and harm the birds.
