Is Vinegar Really The Secret To Removing Funky Body Odors From Sheets?
By JACQUELINE DELIBES
Distilled white vinegar is the handy home essential you probably have in your kitchen that can get body odor out of your sheets by killing bacteria with its acetic acid content.
Do this hack before throwing bedsheets in the washer. Put your sheets in the tub or a large bucket and add one tablespoon of dishwashing liquid and a cup of white vinegar.
Add enough water to soak the sheets and mix well, using a broom or a mop if the water's hot. Let the sheets sit for at least 30 minutes, but 60 is better, and overnight is best.
Wring the excess water from your sheets, then
put them in your washing machine. Substitute a half-cup of baking soda for laundry detergent to deodorize further, then dry.
