Jenn Todryk's Appliance Tips Will Breathe New Life Into Your Kitchen
By JACQUELINE DELIBES
HGTV's "No Demo Reno" host Jenn Todryk explained how better organizing your major appliances, like the stove or refrigerator, modernizes your kitchen and improves its efficiency.
Todryk's client Erin hired her to redecorate her home, especially her kitchen, which she disliked because the oven and refrigerator were awkwardly positioned and dated the room.
Todyrk redesigned the kitchen and purchased a modern oven and fridge. She placed the oven in a central position and the fridge away from the entrance, creating a more natural flow.
This made the kitchen more open and practical, as appliances that are frequently used, like the fridge, stove, and sink, were grouped together to allow easy movement between them.
You can update your kitchen by making simple cosmetic changes, like replacing outdated appliances with modern ones, refreshing the lighting, or modernizing old-fashioned cabinets.
If you have the budget to renovate your kitchen, plan where to position your appliances to ensure a logical, unobstructed flow from your countertops to your sink, fridge, or stove.
