Joanna Gaines' Bold Bathroom Paint Color Is The Perfect Trendy Upgrade

Once a champion of the neutral palette, HGTV’s Joanna Gaines has expanded her repertoire to include dark, rich hues. In a lake house project, she used a bold blue for a bathroom.
Gaines’ goal was to reflect the natural surroundings inside the house. So, she used “earthy” and “grounding” tones across its design, including painting the bathroom a deep blue.
She then paired it with a checkered terracotta and white shower wall to create an unexpected pop of color. In past episodes, she has created similar looks using blue accent tiles.
To easily recreate this look yourself, give your walls and ceiling a bright blue coat of paint, or opt for a lighter, grayish blue if that falls more inside your comfort zone.
