Joanna Gaines Explains The Best Paint Colors For Every Room
By RHIANNON FAITH IRELAND
In a recent interview with Country Living, "Fixer Upper" star Joanna Gaines narrowed down the paint colors that she thinks are truly timeless for each room.
"For high-traffic areas like kitchens and living rooms [...] I like to keep things simple and use a creamy, neutral white," Gaines shared.
In particular, she recommended the Magnolia color Shiplap, which is a charming white with creamy undertones. This will create a cozier look than fully neutral walls would.
For more private spaces such as bedrooms, deep blue denim and navy shades like ‘Weekend’ are ideal since they lend a grounding element that will remain in style.
On the other hand, Gaines also uses green as a neutral shade in her renovations due to the color’s earthy connotations, which makes the color more timeless than trendy.
She told Country Living that "Fresh botanical shades, like 'Magnolia Green' [...] would be a fun choice for kitchen cabinets, or anywhere that needs a touch of nature."
