Joanna Gaines' Top Tip For Painting Legged Furniture
By ASHLYN NEEDHAM
Joanna Gaines, the queen of HGTV and Magnolia, offers a smart solution for painting legged furniture: propping the legs up using nails for better access and even
paint application.
This ensures a clump-free paint job, even on tricky areas like the bottoms of the legs. It also allows excess paint to drip away and provides a professionally finished look.
To complete the hack, Gaines hammers in a nail at the base of each leg to prop it up on the table she's prepped for painting furniture, thereby making it simple to refinish pieces.
For larger and heavier pieces like sofas and coffee tables, Gaines recommends substituting nails with other sturdy household items like old bricks or paper plates.
