Keep A Cut Onion Handy The Next Time You're Painting
A Room
By MARCO ROSSI
A cut onion can help neutralize harmful paint smells that release when paint dries, and speed up the airing-out process, making the room usable faster.
The method involves slicing a white onion in half and placing the halves on opposite ends of the room to purify the air. For a large room, you may need to
cut more than one onion.
This method works because the chemical in onions that makes you cry neutralizes the chemicals in paint responsible for the smell, making them disappear from the air.
