Keep Ant Infestations At Bay With This DIY Deterrent
By JESSICA DANIELS
You can keep ant infestations at bay without resorting to toxic chemicals or expensive products, thanks to a DIY ant deterrent made from readily available household items.
To make this spray, fill a mason jar with orange peels and cover them with white vinegar. Then, place parchment paper between the jar and the lid to prevent erosion of the metal.
Let it sit for two weeks, then strain the peels and mix
the vinegar solution with
an equal part of water in a spray bottle. Spritz it around potential ant entry points.
Not only is this DIY solution effective at deterring ants, but it also serves as an all-purpose cleaner. Plus, it's non-toxic, so it's safe for use around children and pets.
