The distinct smell of coffee grounds around your garden will keep cats away because it works as an odor deterrent since they dislike its strong aroma.
To employ this hack, simply mix your used coffee grounds into your garden's topsoil. For a more powerful, unpleasant mix, dry the coffee grounds first.
Once dry, carefully sprinkle them through your garden bed and flower pots to keep the curious felines at bay. You can also mix the coffee grounds into the garden's perimeter.
It's important to be careful when distributing coffee grounds and make sure there are no concentrated spots, as caffeine in any form is toxic to cats if ingested.
