Keep Pesky Mosquitoes Away With An Item From Your Kitchen Cabinet

Not only are mosquitos averse to vanilla's aroma, but the scent also confuses the insects by masking natural body odors, making it harder to locate potential hosts.
Mix one part pure vanilla extract, as artificial ones may not yield the same results, with two parts water in a spray bottle. Adjust the ratio if you need a stronger solution.
First, test the solution on a small, hidden area of your skin to ensure no allergies or reactions. If safe, spray it on your clothing and exposed skin, avoiding eyes and mouth.
Alternatively, soak a cotton round in the mixture and wipe it onto your skin. Reapply frequently, especially outdoors, as natural repellents have a short duration of efficacy.
