Keep This Plant In Your Laundry Room For Purer Air
By DANIELLE RAMOS-SULLIVAN
Many cleaners and disinfectants, containing harsh chemicals, are typically stored in the laundry room. Fortunately, placing spider plants in the room can help purify the air.
These low-maintenance plants absorb pollutants, including VOCs such as benzene and formaldehyde, through their leaves and roots, breaking them down into harmless compounds.
Spider plants will also soak up moisture from the air through transpiration and help maintain a balanced humidity level in the laundry room, reducing static electricity.
When they are well cared for, these plants are known for producing spiderettes that can be easily propagated so you can have more plants to help purify several parts of your home.
