Keep Your Home Cool During The Summer With These AC
Unit DIYs

Air conditioning is the most effective way to beat the summer heat, but it can be expensive. Fortunately, DIY home-cooling solutions with household objects can help you save money.
One affordable option requires you to divide a Styrofoam cooler’s top into three sections with a marker and trace dryer vents on the two outward sections and a fan in the middle.
Cut out the traced sections and insert the dryer vents and fan into their designated cutouts. Fill the cooler with icy bottles and ice, then place your vents and fan setup on top.
Alternatively, grab a big bucket from Home Depot, Styrofoam, PVC pipe, a fan, a hole saw, and a frozen gallon of water. Drill holes along the bucket's sides for the pipes.
Put the Styrofoam in the bucket and drill matching holes through it. Then, insert the pipes into the holes, add ice, and carve a cutout into the lid to place the fan on top.
Many people confirm that these budget-friendly DIY hacks work well, noting their effectiveness in cooling rooms and cars. A YouTube user even claimed the hack “saved [their] life.”
