Interior expert Hilary Farr transformed a cramped area into the perfect light and airy "chef’s kitchen" with an area where kids can sit at a table to draw or craft.
The kitchen was able to maintain a spacious feel despite being packed full of storage by placing the cabinets beneath the counter and keeping the number of wall units minimal.
Enormous Island
For this makeover, Farr added a large kitchen island with plenty of seating space, storage options, and a sink to open up the room and encourage more family time.
Bold Backsplash
Farr installed a teal-and-white backsplash in a modern kitchen, adding personality to the otherwise bland room. Fans loved the juxtaposition it created.
Two-Toned Cabinets
To bring color to gray-obsessed homeowners, Farr mixed black and white cabinetry, creating a two-toned look that was broken up by the sky-blue backsplash.
Scandi Style
In a bold renovation, Farr tore down a laundry room, small kitchen, and dining room to form one expansive kitchen diner. She then used wood features to create warmth.
