Make A Small Bathroom Feel Bigger With Hilary Farr's Tiling Tricks

If you don’t have the luxury of having a large bathroom in your home, Hilary Farr of HGTV’s “Love It or List It” has a few tricks to help you create the illusion of a bigger space.
Tiling a bathroom can really change how small or big it appears — for instance, using the same color grout as the tile makes it blend with the tile so that the space seems larger.
Farr suggests using the same tile color and design for the walls, shower floors, the side of the shower base, and the floors to make the room seem less busy, and therefore, bigger.
Another trick is to tile up to the ceiling to trick the eye into seeing the room as taller and bigger. When using different tiles, the eye sees each section and its true size.
