Make Your Stainless Steel Shine Like New With One Secret Ingredient
By JACQUELINE DELIBES
Sleek, stainless steel appliances have the ability to make any home feel futuristic and luxurious. To keep your appliances pristine, while adding a glossy sheen,
use coconut oil.
Before polishing, make sure you fraction the coconut oil to remove the lauric acid, which prevents the oil from stiffening up and leaving white chunks on your appliances.
Stainless steel appliances have a grain, so whether you're cleaning or shining, always rub in the direction of the grain, not in circles, with a soft microfiber cloth.
It's important to use a second, clean microfiber cloth to bring out the shine. This removes excess oil and will reduce future fingerprint smudges and spots from water droplets.
