Nate Berkus Shares His Decluttering Tip For A Clean Bedroom Closet
By A. R. HOPKINS
If you feel inspired to reinvent, reduce, and reorganize your home, the best place to start is your closet, says celebrity interior designer Nate Berkus.
Every year, Berkus overhauls his own closet. "Your bedroom is maybe the most important room in your home. [ … ] [C]ontinually edit and declutter throughout the year," he advises.
Don’t let the task overwhelm you, though. Start by simply throwing out any items that are stained or damaged beyond repair. Next, sell or donate items that no longer fit.
Finally, part with things you don’t wear, that aren’t comfortable, or that don’t reflect your desired image. This will make space for items during the year that you really love.
