Not Removing The K-Cup From Your Keurig After Brewing Is A Big Mistake
By KOURTNEY BORMAN
Leaving a K-cup in your Keurig after brewing can be a serious health concern. The wet leftover grounds and heated moisture make the perfect environment for bacteria to flourish.
By removing the K-cup after each use, you significantly reduce the chance of bacteria and prevent a nasty buildup, which can often delay or impair the usage of the coffee maker.
Your best bet is to keep a trash can nearby and simply ditch the K-cup after each usage — make it a habit, and you won't have to deal with the nasty aftermath or a broken Keurig.
