Paper Towel Is All You Need To Degrime Your Can Opener
By JACQUELINE DELIBES
Bits of gunk can collect on the blades of a can opener over time, making it harder to turn and attracting bacteria, so use a paper towel to de-grime the opener quickly and easily.
First, get a full sheet of paper towel and fold it lengthwise into thirds or fourths. You should end up with a thick rectangle of paper towel.
Position the can opener's blades around the paper towel at the top and start turning the handle.
You should see gunk deposited onto the paper.
Your paper towel may get a little wound up in your can's blades, so examine the blades closely for left behind bits of paper towel and remove them.
