Sponge painting walls was a popular ‘90s trend that now makes your home feel old and passé, according to Pinterest. If you’re home is on the market, it could ruin potential sales.
Faux paint on walls, including sponge paint, became popular due to wallpaper falling out of fashion in the late '80s. The style, however, didn’t last long.
To fix this interior design flaw, sand the wall down if the texture bothers you before cleaning and priming it. Then, paint the wall with the hue of your choice.
