Plant This Flower Near Fountain Grass For A Gorgeous Pop Of Color
By A. R. HOPKINS
The term fountain grass refers to a genus of ornamental grasses. Like most plants, fountain grasses can thrive and visually pop when paired with certain companion plants.
Delicate, vibrant petunias can provide complementary or coordinating colors along with the contrast in height for your fountain grass.
A popular look is planting a grouping of fountain grass and surrounding it with a circle of petunias. It is also common to see a row of petunias before a row of fountain grass.
Both plants thrive when planted in late spring, have full sun exposure, and moist, well-draining soil. Petunias need occasional trimming, while fountain grass is pruned annually.
