Prevent Sagging Cabinet Shelves With

Bent or sagging shelves are unseemly and dangerous, as they can collapse at any moment. Before you go to the store, however, try these easy tricks to reinforce your existing ones.
If the shelf is still relatively strong and it warped from age or moisture, try flipping it over and slotting it back in place. The weight of the objects should straighten it out.
Add extra pegs or fashion drilled-in wall supports to reinforce the shelf. For bookcases, position a support beam made from a block of plywood disguised as a book under the sag.
If the drooping is caused by objects that are too heavy for the unit’s material, try swapping them with lighter objects being showcased on sturdier, thicker wood or metal shelves.
