Protect Clothes With This Simple Laundry Room Mason Jar Hack
By CHRISTY RAE AMMONS
Letting pens, coins, and other objects go through your washing machine could be damaging to your clothes and the machine itself. A simple Mason jar can help you avoid this problem.
With a glass jar next to your washing machine, you'll have a place to store items found in pockets, and the jar can also remind you to check the pockets before using the machine.
First, find a spot beside or on top of your washer to store your jar. Place it on a visible shelf or on the washer itself, or use a pot holder ring to mount your jar to the wall.
Consider having multiple mason jars, in order to store items categorically — they can be kept together in a basket to save space. You can also have a jar for each family member.
