While it may sound unlikely, starving praying mantises can indeed prey on hummingbirds. Fortunately, there are several effective ways to keep them away from your feeders.
If you spot a mantis on or near your hummingbird feeder, a simple solution is to gently relocate it by coaxing it onto a stick and moving it to a different location.
