Remove Stubborn Sticker Stains With This Household Staple
By WILL FORD
To remove stubborn sticker stains from household items, especially non-porous surfaces like glass, plastic, or metal, an effective solution lies in your pantry: vinegar.
Begin by gathering the necessary materials: a clean cloth or sponge, a bowl, and white distilled vinegar, as its high acetic acid content is excellent at dissolving adhesive bonds.
If you are dealing with a flat surface, pour a small amount of vinegar into the bowl. Then, soak the cloth or sponge in vinegar and apply it to the stained area.
For vertical surfaces, use a spray bottle for easy application. Ensure the sticker residue is thoroughly saturated, and let the vinegar sit for 5-10 minutes.
After waiting, peel off the sticker or gently scrub the area with the cloth. For particularly tough stains, a second application might be necessary.
Finish by wiping the area with a damp cloth to remove leftover vinegar and residue. This hack shouldn't be used on painted, coated, or enameled surfaces.
