Remove Tough Stains From Your Floor With This WD-40 Hack
By KYLE SCHURMAN
You may be surprised to learn that WD-40 works extremely well for removing tough stains from all kinds of floors, including tile, carpeting, hardwood, and vinyl.
To clean stains on tile floors, spray WD-40 lubricant on the grout, aiming it precisely with the straw nozzle. Let it sit for a few seconds before wiping it away with a sponge.
Remove scuff marks on tile by spraying WD-40 on them and wiping them away with a rag. For paint or nail polish stains, spray WD-40 on the spots and leave them for a few seconds.
Stubborn stains on carpeting can be cleansed by spraying the WD-40 directly onto the stained area while holding the can's nozzle a few inches from the carpet.
Let the lubricant sit for 30 seconds. Run a damp sponge over the area, which will remove stains from the carpet fibers, and then wipe the spot with a dry rag to clean any residue.
WD-40 can clean tough stains on hardwood floors by spraying the lubricant onto the hardwood surface, waiting a few seconds, and then wiping away the stains with a clean rag.
To remove stains from vinyl flooring, spray the WD-40 on a rag, wipe the vinyl until the stain disappears, and then use vinegar and water to remove any remaining WD-40 lubricant.
