Repurpose Old Pillows For A Better Garden. Here’s How
By Rachael Green
From fresh nesting material for your favorite songbirds to upcycling pillow covers into totes or plant ties, there are many ways you can reuse those old pillows.
Check the tag first to see what your pillow is made of before choosing how to repurpose it. If the tag is no longer legible, it's probably safe to assume it's synthetic material.
As long as the stuffing is made from 100% natural fiber and not a blend, it will break down along with everything else to become a nutrient-rich compost to feed your garden.
If your pillow is synthetic, stuff the filling into a waterproof case to make a DIY garden kneeler for extra comfort while weeding or working in your garden.
