Rather than throwing your old pillows away, you can repurpose them into an adorable floor pouf ottoman with this simple DIY project that doesn't require any sewing abilities.
The outside can be constructed from repurposed materials, such as an old bedsheet. Alternatively, you can purchase a few inexpensive throw rugs or other fabrics you like.
To make a pouf, start by laying two of the throw rugs against each other with the wrong sides out. Attach the seams of the shorter ends on both sides with hot glue or fabric glue.
Flip your project right side out so your glued sections are in the center, and create a crease down the side. Apply glue to make an even, faux seam, and repeat on the other side.
Turn the project inside out again and fill it with your pillows. Cut your last rug in half, cover the top of your project, and glue all four sides, then turn it over and repeat.
Remove the pillows, flip your project the correct way, re-stuff, and glue the final edge. This method should work with other fabrics, but you’ll need to cut them to the right size.
