Reuse Old Towels To DIY A Useful Item For Your Kitchen
By CHRISTY RAE AMMONS
There’s no reason to discard your old towels when it’s so easy to upcycle them into a small stylish rug for your kitchen. All you need is a non-slip rug underlay pad from Amazon.
First, dye your towels a darker color if you like, then trim off any frayed edges, and cut them into ¾-inch-thick and 3-inch-long strips (cut bigger strips to make a shaggier rug).
Now, loop these strips through each opening in your gridded mat, and knot the ends tightly on the top of the mat. Continue tying strips in rows until your whole mat is covered.
