In Season 8, Episode 2 of the popular HGTV show "Home Town," host Erin Napier advised a homeowner against repainting the exterior of his house simply due to a dislike of the color.
Napier emphasized that if the exterior features "fresh, beautiful, designer-chosen paint," it's wise to retain it, given the high costs associated with
exterior repainting.
The average cost for such a job ranges between $1,800 and $4,500, a significant sum that could be used for interior renovations or essential upgrades that the home actually needs.
Instead of painting, Napier opted for smaller changes, like changing the front door and adding windows to the garage, leveraging the budget in a more intelligent, impactful manner.
