Silence Noisy Cabinet Doors With This Wine Cork Hack
By SASKIA AINSWORTH
Repurposing a few leftover wine corks into buffer pads is an easy and inexpensive way to dampen the sounds of noisy doors and cupboards.
Only a few corks are needed to do several cupboards. Simply cut a thin slice and glue it to the inner corner of the cupboard door where
it meets the cabinetry.
The cork should be thin enough to be able to close the cupboard door but not so thick that it creates an open gap when you close it.
The cork acts as a cushion to prevent the door and the rest of the unit from coming into contact, thereby preventing the slamming noise every time it shuts.
