Telltale Signs Snakes Are Camping Out Under Your Deck
By JOANNA MARIE
Beyond the rare chance of spotting an actual snake, a series of signs will help you confirm their presence under your deck, the most apparent being tracks and droppings.
Snakes can leave behind squiggly trails in soft soil or dust with their movement patterns. You may also spot their droppings that look whitish with yellowish patches of urea.
Their droppings may also contain bones or fur, remnants of recent meals. Additionally, finding their shed skin is a surefire sign of their presence, as they shed it periodically.
Though it's a less obvious sign of a snake's presence, you may also notice a decrease in small animals like frogs, lizards, or even insects around your deck.
