Grassy weeds tend to be a brighter shade of green and often have taller or wider blades. If you hold the blades up in natural light, you will notice they have a dull, matte finish.
If your lawn has grassy weeds, apply a grass-selective herbicide from your local store or Amazon. For stubborn weeds, use a non-selective herbicide, targeting only the weeds.
Prevent weeds by using a pre-emergent product in early spring for perennial grassy weeds. Keep your lawn healthy by watering deeply, mowing high, and fertilizing once per season.
