Jenny and Dave Marrs’ biggest renovation was the expansion of their relatives’ rancher house, including remaking a dull, gray-tiled shower room into a master bedroom ensuite.
They created a spa-like bathroom featuring a soaking tub, a steam shower, a double vanity with floating oak cabinets, and a striking fluted floor-to-ceiling tile that fans adored.
'90s Update
The builder-designer duo transformed an outdated home with brown walls, a drop-in bathtub, a wooden vanity and dresser, circular button handles, and an acrylic counter.
They installed a double wooden vanity with a white countertop, a walk-in shower, and a free-standing bathtub. Large-format porcelain tiles and brass hardware completed the look.
Heroes
When the crew remodeled community heroes the McGhees’ house, the master bathroom was dark and styleless, with chrome hardware and a toilet that was impractically situated.
Dave and Jenny Marrs created a fashionable bathroom with separate areas and updated elements, using black, white, and gold hues; Terrazzo shower tiles; and a double black vanity.
Hosts
The team redesigned the house of a couple who accommodated foreign exchange students and international missionaries, incorporating a multicultural theme into the new design.
Updates included Mexican terracotta tiles, a free-standing white bathtub, a Mediterranean-inspired shower, pebble stone flooring, and a double vanity with gray stone countertops.
Peruvian-Style
A retired couple with a Peruvian background downsized to a house with a bathroom disconnected from the main bedroom. It also had dated tiles, fixtures and fittings.
The crew fixed the layout and added a gray vanity, hexagonal marble tiles, pebble flooring, and a walk-in shower with an arched entryway echoing Peruvian dome-shaped buildings.
