The Aluminum Foil Hack That'll Shine Up Your Sink's Dingy Features
By RACHEL ANN MELEGRITO
Removing hard water stains can be a chore, but you don't need to invest in harsh chemicals. You can scrub and polish those stains away with just a piece of aluminum foil.
Hold a foil strip with the shiny side facing out. Crumple it into a ball or fold it into a small, multi-layered square, then dampen it with water and scrub the stains.
While aluminum is softer than chrome and metal and isn't likely to scratch the faucet's surface, it's best to scrub lightly to avoid any damage.
Replace or wet it again as needed. The aluminum foil's mild abrasiveness not only helps remove the stains but also aids in bringing back the natural gleam of your faucet.
