The Benefits Of Adding
A Dash Of Paint To Your Wall Primer
By SASKIA AINSWORTH
If you're changing the color of your walls, especially if from a considerably darker color, then adding a dash of paint to your primer
will ensure you achieve
the perfect finish.
The primer forms an initial layer, so it's more difficult to see the color underneath. Adding a touch of paint to the primer adds a subtle touch of color to heighten the effect.
However, it's important
to combine these two decorative staples in the correct amounts, as doing it incorrectly could negatively impact the results.
House building company Gambrick suggests adding no more than 15% of your paint to the primer. For best results, check that the paint and the primer you use contain identical bases.
