The Best Mopping Tips For A Squeaky Clean Floor

Wring Properly
Not wringing your mop out properly can result in excess water being left on the floor, which then dries into streaks, leaving your floor looking less than perfect.
Avoid Excess Product
More products do not necessarily equal a cleaner floor. It can often lead to the opposite effect, leaving a hazy or cloudy film on your hardwood.
Use Correct Chemicals
Each floor type has unique molecular properties and interacts with various detergents' chemistry differently. For hardwood floors, use a pH-neutral cleaner.
For vinyl floors, use a solution of ½ cup of apple cider and ½ cup of pH-neutral floor cleaner with a pH of 7. For laminate floors, avoid products with a pH below 7.
Avoid Scratches
Scratches are one of the main culprits of floor damage, and they often happen if you fail to sweep with a soft-bristled broom before mopping.
Also, to avoid damage when dragging furniture around, use felt pads. They provide a soft barrier between the furniture and the floor, helping to protect your floor from damage.
Ply Damp Mop
Hardwood, laminate, and vinyl floors are susceptible to water damage like warping and bubbling. Minimize this by using a damp mop instead of a soaked and dripping one.
