The best time of the day to water your basil plant, whether it's planted in the ground or in a pot, is in the morning, and you can give it up to an inch of water each week.
Watering basil leaves late in the day or at night doesn't give them sufficient time to dry, thereby increasing their susceptibility to fungal diseases due to
excessive dampness.
Additionally, watering in the morning provides a moist foundation for the plant, ensuring it stays hydrated throughout the warmer hours of the day.
