The Best Time Of Year To Plant Peonies For The Perfect Summer Bloom
Although you can plant peonies in the early spring, fall is generally recommended to allow the plants to adapt to their surroundings and develop robust root systems.
Experts recommend fall planting for larger, more vibrant flowers once summer arrives. Late September and October are especially ideal times to plant in most of the U.S.
To ensure healthy peonies, choose a sunny spot with well-draining soil that is slightly acidic. Plant the root about 1 inch deep, with its eyes facing upward, and water thoroughly.
