The Best Time Of Year To Take Your Hummingbird Feeder Down
By TIFFANY SELVEY
During the fall hummingbird migration season, these birds stop at many feeders on the path to their winter home, which makes it best to wait until winter to put away your feeders.
While most of your visitors may have already gone south, others may be headed your way and would be grateful for some fuel as they continue to their winter home.
Leaving your feeder up through November is especially important if you live in a coastal area, where some hummingbirds may make one more stop for food before they cross the ocean.
