The Bi-Fold Closet Door Upgrade That Can Help Keep Clothes Organized
By Krystal Orwig
If you've been considering the disadvantages of bi-fold closet doors or want to transform your room, you may want to replace your closet doors and add a built-in wardrobe instead.
Built-in shelves and cabinetry have become increasingly popular in recent years due to their versatile, functional, and streamlined aesthetic, especially for closets.
To embrace the trend yourself, find a dresser that can be used for the built-in bottom and fits into your closet. If you can’t find a perfect fit, fill the gaps with wood trim.
You'll need to remove the bi-fold doors and attach your dresser to the space's inside wall. Building a base to raise the dresser off the floor can solidify the built-in look.
Then, add trim to the edges around the top and get wood cut to size to be added as doors. Once you have the foundation set, you can customize your new built-in closet.
