The Brilliant Way You Should Be Using A Baby Gate In The Garden
By KELLY CATLIN
Garden gates can keep your fruits, vegetables, and flowers safe from wandering neighbors and animals, but they can be expensive. Instead, you can repurpose an old baby gate.
Any type of baby gate will work for this hack, but TikTok user @nara28155 used an extendable baby gate made from a mesh fabric and connected it to two posts.
You can also fasten the gate to old 2x4s or tree stumps. Once your gate has posts secured in the ground, you can mount it with the gate’s mounting brackets and a power drill.
If you don't have an old baby gate, you can purchase one at Target for $19. Just be mindful of what animals you're looking to deter, as deer can jump over a baby gate.
Animals can also dig beneath your gate, so consider adding an animal barrier fence as well. Amazon sells them for $24, and they're easy to install.
