The Budget-Friendly Way To Clean
Grimy Stone Hardscaping
By ETHAN HARRISON SMITH
You don't need an expensive or specialized cleaning product to make your natural stone hardscape features sparkle. There's a simple and affordable way to do it.
To get your stone walkways or retaining walls looking pristine, just mix 2 gallons of warm water with 2 tablespoons of dish soap and apply this solution to the stone surfaces.
Use a firm-bristled brush to thoroughly scrub away the dirt and grime. After cleaning, it's important to rinse the stones well to prevent any potential damage or hazing.
It's also a good idea to spot-test the mixture on an inconspicuous area before applying it to the entire surface. Keep the cleaning solution away from plants to avoid burning them.
