Herbicide is an effective way to kill weeds in your garden, but most methods result in overspray, causing harm to plants around. This is where a spray collar can help.
Spray collars are devices that keep herbicide spray directed at the weeds, like a barrier, minimizing the risk of the spray drifting nearby flowers, bushes, or vegetables.
In addition, enclosing the weed within the collar allows you to apply herbicide directly to the weed's leaves or stems, ensuring maximum effectiveness while minimizing waste.
To make a spray collar, use a can opener to cut off the top and bottom of an empty metal can. Place the can around the weeds and spray the herbicide on the leaves and stems.
