The Colorful Tree That Fits In A Small Yard Or Space

Finding a compact tree can be challenging, but the beautifully blooming eastern redbud, or “flame thrower,” makes the perfect low-maintenance addition to any small garden or yard.
Growing up to 20 feet high, its purple flowers bloom in April while its leaves change colors throughout the subsequent seasons to create a gorgeous display that lasts until winter.
These easy-to-care-for trees are not picky about soil as long as it drains properly, and they prefer partial shade but will tolerate full sun provided that they are watered well.
Eliminate common pests using insecticidal soaps, and prevent disease by pruning damaged or diseased wood, keeping up on proper watering, and inspecting the plant frequently.
