The Creative Dollar Tree DIY That'll Have Birds Flocking To Your Yard
By MICHELLE ROBERTS-GARCIA
Just a few Dollar Tree items is all it takes to make a budget hanging birdbath that’ll give birds a place to perch, wash, and drink from, so they’ll see your garden as their home.
All you’ll need for this easy DIY is a Dollar Tree Standard Hanging Colored Planter, Multi-Toned River Pebbles, and a Floral Garden Terrarium Dish. Each item costs only $1.25.
First, remove any tags on your planter. You can use the hanging cord it came with or swap it out for a chain or strong twine that’ll fit into the existing holes around the rim.
Place the terrarium dish on top of the planter so it’s flush with the lip, creating a tray. Next, cover the bottom of the tray with the pebbles and add a bigger rock for perching.
Now, add water until the stones are covered, then hang your birdbath from a shepherd’s hook in a shady spot on a tree branch or a patio overhang where birds can safely enjoy it.
