The Daring Kitchen Cabinet Color Erin Napier Tried On Home Town

There is something to be said about making a daring design choice like Erin Napier did when she chose black cabinets for her 100th episode of "Home Town" on HGTV.
In the episode, Napier showed off a gorgeous black kitchen. She kept things from looking dark by adding bright elements, like shiny gold hardware and white countertops.
Black cabinets come with many perks, with one of the best being that black hides imperfections and the wear and tear that comes from constantly opening and closing them.
If you want to avoid touching up your cabinets often, black is a great choice. Black also hides stains and fingerprints and can be cleaned less often than lighter cabinets.
Black cabinets add a sense of warmth to a modern or large space and allow you to go white everywhere else without making the space feel sterile or cold.
If you are working with a small kitchen, consider painting only the base cabinets black. This will still give you that dramatic look without being overbearing.
