The Flooring Choice HGTV's Christina Hall Avoids And Why
By ZOE NOLZ
Your flooring can greatly impact your home’s resale value, and HGTV’s Christina Hall recommends avoiding travertine floors if you want your house to succeed on the market.
Travertine flooring is an outdated, high-maintenance material that's inconvenient in the 2020s. "[I]t's harder to fix […] [and] a hard material to get rid of," Hall tells Parade.
Hall advises carefully examining how flooring option samples look in your home and also recommends committing to the same floor type throughout the house.
"[R]unning flooring throughout the entire house [...] makes the spaces feel bigger and more cohesive," she explains in a video on her TikTok account, @thechristinacollection.
