In Season 5, Episode 1 of “Fixer to Fabulous,” host Jenny Marrs painted the walls and cabinets of a kitchen yellow to create the sunny cottage feel the homeowner desired.
While yellow paint has been left in the dust for the past few years, homeowners and designers have recently been resurrecting this once-popular and happy shade.
From soft, pale buttercup to richer and deeper shades of mustard, yellow is fast becoming a great option for kitchens, particularly in English cottages and grandmillennial homes.
In the episode, Marrs chose a soft shade of yellow, creating a sophisticated yet whimsical look that is more soothing than brighter, lemon-yellow shades used in the past.
